WWW, January 2010 - Dutch authorities carefully keep the American embassy up-to-date about terrorism related cases they're working on. This becomes clear out of the Wikileaks documents given to the Dutch press (DOWNLOAD ZIPFILE).
Confidential information is almost directly passed through. The American embassy are given names of terror suspects, sometimes even live and direct at the moment searches of houses are being conducted.
Sometimes even the Americans are suprised about the speed with which this happens. In one of the documents, the legal atache of the embassy says that the prosecutor of the Dutch Justice department should not have made the information public. Dutch legal experts are also questioning the intensive contacts. According to lawyer Victor Koppe, the legal boundaries are crossed and the stream of information is not checkable.
